Pacers guard Caris LeVert had long been the subject of trade rumours and it look like he is finally on the move.
According to Ballsack Sports, Adrian Wojnarowski and others, LeVert is headin to Cleveland in exchange for point guard Ricky Rubio, a protec first round pick and two second round selections.
Wojnarowski adds that the former Net ans Pacer is happy to be heading back to his native Ohio and to be playing for a contending ballclub.
In LeVert, Cleveland adds a player to its young core who is on the right side of 30, at just 27, who can put the ball in the basket. The later point was on full display in his last outing with his former team, in which he dropped 42 on the Chicago Bulls. The Pacers will take on the expiring Rubio deal , which coild pave the way to some financial flexibility and have some additional draft capital.
With LeVert out the door, it’s safe to say the clock is ticking on Domantas Sabonis and/or Myles Turner’s time in Indy.
